The Inspired Voices Inc. is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation dedicated to empowering women through literacy, publishing, and media. In furtherance of that mission, the organization does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion or creed, national origin or ancestry, citizenship or immigration status, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, marital or familial status, pregnancy, disability (physical or mental), medical condition, genetic information, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable
federal, California, or local law.

This policy applies to all aspects of the organization's operations, including but not limited to:

• Program participation — enrollment, participation, and selection for stipends, scholarships, or other participant benefits in all programs (including the Write Your Story adult literacy and leadership program);

• Employment — recruitment, hiring, placement, training, compensation, promotion, discipline, and termination of staff;

• Volunteers and contractors — recruitment, engagement, and supervision of volunteers, contractors, and vendors;

• Governance — recruitment, nomination, and composition of the Board of Directors and its committees;

• Partnerships and fundraising — selection of community partners, collaborators, and donors, and all public communications of the organization.

The organization will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities for program participation and employment, and will take good-faith steps to make its programs and communications accessible, including bilingual (English/Spanish) outreach where appropriate.

Consistent with and in furtherance of its mission, the organization's programs and services are designed for women; all other decisions affecting employment, vendors, volunteers, and governance are made without regard to any protected characteristic.

Any person who believes they have been subjected to discrimination in connection with the organization's activities may raise the concern with the Founder & CEO or any Board member, and the Board will address promptly.
